The ABC’s Of Training Dogs - Obedience Training In A Nutshell!
September 5th, 2008
Becoming a dog owner was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. It has brought me a tremedous amount of joy. For many people they get caught in the moment and purchase a dog without realizing how much work is needed on a daily basis. Dog training is an ongoing process, and for many people it becomes to much to handle. In the end, the dog loses, possibly ending up in shelters. For me the training has been a great experience and I am eager to learn more each day. Who knows maybe it could become a second career?
Does this sound like you? I read an article today in the Seacoast Online about a trainer name Mary Peterson who became a trainer due to the reasons mentioned earlier. She was instantly attracted to the idea of training dogs. Obedience training can be rewarding to the trainer and owners a like.
The article goes on to mention that a dog does not need to need to be six months old to start obedience classes as we are orignally led to believe. In fact Peterson adds that 8 to 10 weeks old is okay to start class training dogs. Obedience training will train your dog to have good manners, and help forge a relationship between dog and owner.
