Weight Loss – Count Your Blessings…and Your Calories, Too!

March 22nd, 2009

How many people in the world today are totally obese? Thousands upon thousands of people are continuing to gain weight every day. Since weight gain is something that accrues slowly in us, most of us don’t even realize that the pants that fit last week perfectly won’t even button anymore. And yet, even though this is the case, guess where most of us will end up come lunchtime? Yes, you guessed it, we’re in line to pick up an Angry Whopper and a large fries. Don’t forget the Coke too! Super size it? Yes, please! Do you see the problem?

So, lets talk about calories then. If you want to lose weight, then you must understand the following concept. To lose weight, you must decrease your caloric intake. When you simplify weight loss down to its core, that’s pretty much what it comes down to. I mean, you can take out the soda, the sugar, the hamburgers, the candies, the cakes, and live on eating dust if you want to, and that’s fine and all, but if you really want to lose weight and know an easy way to do it, then just decrease your caloric intake.

So how do you do this? Just count your calories. Every thing that you eat has “Nutrition Facts” on it. When you get finished eating, take a count of the calories that you have consumed. If you count your calories, and do a bit of exercise, then you lose weight, guarantee it.

Weight Loss – Will Work For Weight Loss

March 22nd, 2009

Have you ever seen those signs that say, “Will work for food” or something along those lines? Well, when it comes to weight loss, you will need to work at it. Some people just expect weight loss to happen like some type of crazy magic trick or something. I’ve known people who said they were on a diet who sat around playing Halo all day and eating snack cakes. If you want to lose weight, you will need to put down the control, pack up the Zebra Cakes, and get out and do some exercise.

Exercise is an important factor when it comes to weight loss. A lot of people fail miserably at their weight loss program because they are not willing to commit to it. A plan to lose weight is a commitment to lose weight. Like I said, it does not just happen, you have to earn it. You will need to do exercise like, every day for at least an hour, if you want to see any real results.

Now, I want to make a point here, you cannot go out and do a ton of exercise, and then come back home and stuff your face with potato chips and sodas. It doesn’t work that way, and if you do that, then you just canceled out all of the work you just did. You need to combine a healthy diet along with a steady amount of exercise if you want to lose the weight. You can do it, it just takes work and commitment.
